17 Weeks

How far along? 17 weeks
Gender predication: ...
Total weight gain/loss? Not quite sure...
Maternity clothes? Yes and no
Exercise: A couple weight lifting workouts...and I hit the 10k goal on my fitbit twice this week!
Sleep: Still wake up a few times for the bathroom...and still trying to drop my midday nap :)
Best moment this week: I am 99% sure that I have been feeling this little baby kick! I never felt Grayson or Ryan this early so I was taken by surprise. I really didn't expect to feel anything for a few more weeks but right at the beginning of my 16 weeks I was laying in bed about to fall asleep and I felt little flutters!  It happened again the next couple of nights too. Can't wait for big ones that Kevin, Ryan and Grayson can see & feel!
Food cravings: Eggs! Eggs over medium in the morning...and I keep seeing amazing recipes for deviled eggs that I want to try.
Queasy or Sick: Still a wee bit nauseous. I thought I was out of the woods on this...but at least once a day it sneaks up on me!
Belly button in or out? In but working on coming out
Looking forward to: Enjoying the warm weather this weekend with the boys!

Spring Break - Part 2

On the Friday of Spring Break we picked Kevin up from Hobby airport and made our way to Jamaica Beach for a fun little weekend with the Aston's! The weather was amazing on Friday...when we arrived Grayson went down for a nap and the rest of us hung outside on the back patio soaking up the sun.

Brian arrived with the kiddos around 5:30 and the playing commenced.

Night #1 slumber party attempt = fail.
Eventually we had to separate the kiddos - they were too darn excited to see each other to sleep.

Good morning Grayson! He is now obsessed with these drinkable yogurts - "smoothies"!

Hanging with his buddy Brooks. Grayson somehow decided that this red chair was his - if anyone else sat on it...he just wiggled himself right in it with them...and he may have possibly yanked them out as well. A little bit of a bully...

The daddy's took the big kids to get fishing necessities...and kites! They came home with spiderman and princess fishing poles...which were a huge hit!

Early afternoon the kiddos begged to go to the beach. Mind you it is only 60 degrees, windy and threatening rain at any moment. So the dad's piled them in the golf cart and headed down to the water.

These crazy kiddos!

Ryan LOVED it!

Sweet little boys!

The little guys played it safe in the sand. So happy Pierson joined us!

While the kiddos were playing in the water we were crouched down hiding from the wind!

Getting ready for bed night #2. It was slightly more successful....Ryan and Caroline successfully fell asleep.

Sunday morning there was...gasp...SUNSHINE! Hot dog!

We went for a little boat ride and enjoyed the weather

These boys had so much fun together! We had such a wonderful time and love spending time with the Aston's! Can't wait to see them again soon!

16 weeks

How far along? 16 weeks
Gender predication: Oye. I have no idea. April 8th is the BIG day!!!
Total weight gain/loss? Not quite sure...
Maternity clothes? Somedays I do, and some I don't. Just depends...
Exercise: Walking with Yiayia T but other than that not much...my poor fitbit makes me feel ohsolazy....
Sleep: I am really pushing to drop my nap (lol). Honestly...I feel like I am Ryan. Somedays I really need one and some days I don't.
Best moment this week: Picking Kevin up from the airport in Houston with the boys! Everyone was so excited to see him.
Food cravings: Craving healthy food after all the junk I ate on "Spring Break"
Queasy or Sick: Yes, yes and yes. But it's getting so much better...now just randomly thoughout the day I will get little bouts of nausea. much more manageable.
Belly button in or out? In but working on coming out
Looking forward to: Easter pictures with Chelle Cates! I am such a huge fan of her pics and she always gets the best shots of my boys! Can't wait to see what she captures!

Spring Break - Part 1

We decided to head down to Houston for Spring Break. The first part of the week the boys and I hung out in Katy with Yiayia and then on Friday Kevin joined us and we spent the weekend in Galveston.
I was pretty darn nervous about the ride down but the boys actually did really well. They were both up for the first two hours and then we stopped at Buc'ees to stretch out legs and grab a snack. Once we got back on the road little G fell asleep and about an hour later Ryan took a little snooze. We got in about 4pm and stopped at Lupe's to let the boys run wild and have an early dinner!

On Tuesday we had plans to visit Jennifer and meet little Kate! Since I didn't want to bring my germy little boys around her three week old we got a sitter for them. And since we had a sitter...we decided to take advantage of some free time by doing a little shopping. I really wanted to make a visit to High Fashion Home since we don't have one in Dallas. I came across this buffet and fell in love! It's being delivered tomorrow...yay!
When we got back to Katy I took the boys over to my friend Melissa's house to play and then we all headed to the park and met some more friends. The weather was beautiful so we decided to continue the outdoor adventure and dine outside at Grimaldi's. There is a lake and you can feed the ducks...which sounded great in theory BUT since Grayson wanted to be in the lake it made the dinner a bit difficult. After a quick dinner we walked across the street to a big open green where the kids could run around...and of course we got some ice cream. Perfect day!

Wednesday morning woke up and headed to Shipley Do-nuts!! YUM!
Ryan ordered a chocolate donut with sprinkles for himself...and a vanilla for Grayson. The boys sat in the shop and enjoyed their treats! After round one Ryan decided he wanted another...and since we were on 'vacation'...why not. He decided on a strawberry iced one with sprinkles for round 2 - and I broke down and had a glazed, the rest of Grayson's (which was basically all of it) and half a kolache. Oye. My pregnant self has no will power whatsoever....

The wind was CRAZY all day. We actually headed up to the outlet mall in Cypress...not the best day for outlet mall shopping BUT we did have fun and the boys enjoyed it as well. There were a lot of mechanical rides and Ryan was a big fan.

After naps we took the boys to fly kites...which was incredibly quick. Ryan loved it but Grayson cried the whole time...he just wanted to hold his kite. Not a huge fan of flying it...oh well. We had to wrap it up pretty quickly because it was quite cold and Grayson was not happy.

Thursday morning we hung out in a jammies and lounged around a bit before taking the boys on a walk to the park.
When we got home we did a little finger painting

And then decided to head to Lupe's for lunch...
They loved this horse!
We had so much fun with Yiayia and can't wait to visit again!

Curious George

Over the past few weeks Ryan's teachers have asked all the parents to come and read to the kids. I was really excited about reading to his class and the best part was - he was excited too! Each week someone's mommy came so he was thrilled when I told him this week was our turn. He knew right away which book he wanted me to read...

He was so excited that I was coming to read to his class

When we arrived at school he was all smiles. In his classroom he kept telling all of his friends that his mommy was going to read - he was so proud and it was so darn cute. While the other kids played and waited for the rest of the children to arrive Ryan sat on the rug with a huge smile on his face. HIs buddy Jack joined him....they were ready for my story!

Then Ryan realized since it was his mommy reading he got to sit up with me! He quickly got himself a chair and carried it to the front of the room. I really wish I had gotten some pics of this - his teacher might have one so I will have to ask.

Ryan decided that we would read Curious George Goes Camping (slightly obsessed with ol George right now) - so we started with it. He would get so excited about the book and blurt out what was going to happen...especially when George had to take a bath in tomato juice! The kids seemed to love the book so we read another - The Halloween one...another one of Ryan's favorites.

I had such a wonderful time reading to his class and was on such a high after seeing how proud he was of me - it was the cutest thing ever! I know eventually I will be embarrassing to him, but for now he thinks I'm pretty cool.

Happy momma :)

Dinner dates

On Friday my mom watched Grayson so that Ryan, Kevin and I could have a little dinner date! I was craving some Asian food...so we headed to Shensei.
Having a very serious conversation...

Excited to use his chopsticks!
Ryan enjoyed some yummy fried rice and rock shrimp, while Kevin enjoyed some ribs and I went for the lobster tacos! Yum!

After dinner we talked daddy into taking us out for some ice cream! It was pretty cold outside...but it's never too cold for ice cream! I really enjoyed our date and can't wait for Grayson to get a little older so that we can take him out on 'dates' too!

We are incredibly excited and a little scared for the final baby of the McDonough clan to arrive. We will be finding out the sex of this baby - hope to know on April 8th! Will start my weekly posts next week! Thanks for all the congratulations we have received!

Austin Fun

This past weekend we packed up the ol' SUV and headed down to Austin to meet up with friends and family!
Seriously...packed this thing up. Cannot wait to get a LARGER car. Much needed. We even brought Bob! He was so happy to be included :) He was kind of a celebrity at the hotel...everyone loved him.

We got to Austin around 4:30 in the afternoon, checked in out hotel and then took the boys on a little walk downtown (Bob too). We love staying at the DoubleTree on 15th because it's a great location and it's all suites...which is perfect for a family. Anyhow, we walked down by the Capitol and then down Congress and grabbed some jamba juice for a little snack.

That night my parents watched the boys while Kevin and I met up with Rob, Stacey and Jacob for dinner at Moonshine. Afterwards I headed home for bed...the rest of them went out to Rainey Street (apparently the new place to go)

The next morning, when the boys woke up we had some pop tarts and watched Mickey Mouse in bed. Afterwards we walked down to met up with my parents at Austin Java.

Around 11am we headed out to Stanley's Farmhouse in Dripping Springs for some crafts beers and pizza!

This place was awesome - a bunch of land for the kids to run around and play on! Lot's of room to burn some of that energy!

Uncle Steve bought Ryan a root beer.

Hanging with the girls...waiting for the sun to come out!
After the kids got some energy out and filled their bellies with yummy pizza we headed back to the hotel for nap time.

That evening we got a sitter to watch the boys so we could go out for a nice dinner at my parents favorite steakhouse. We also were able to celebrate my parents purchase of a new lot! Kevin and I are thrilled - so happy that we will have so many more family visits to Austin in the future :)

Sadly, neither picture turned out but I didn't want to keep bugging the waiter :). Anyhow, we had such a great time.
After dinner my dad, Kevin and I walked back to the hotel...trying to get my 10k steps... :)
The next morning we had plans to go see my parents new lot and then visit with the Paprocki's before heading out, but when we woke up we saw that the cold front had already hit Dallas and the weather wasn't looking so great. We decided to grab a quick breakfast (again, Austin Java) with the family before hitting the road.
