Date with Ryan

Last Sunday I took Ryan out for a little mommy and me time - a little date if you will! We headed to North Park to see Frozen and then grabbed some lunch before heading home!

We loved Frozen - well I sure did. Ryan enjoyed it - his favorite character was Olaf (the snowman) but he calls him Frosty the Snowman. He loved eating popcorn and drinking a slushy - at 10am no less. He did pretty good watching the movie - got a little antsy at times but was able to refocus. At one point when the movie got quiet he loudly asked me, "Where is Mickey?". Oh dear - wrong movie. lol. He didn't seem to mind when I told him that it wasn't a Mickey movie so we were all good.

After the movie Ryan wanted a  grilled cheese - his favorite of the moment. We tried to go to Breadwinners but there was a 20 min wait. I decided that we could wait for a little bit since the library was right there and we could kill some time in there...they had a little MLK day craft so Ryan worked on that.

lovely.

After about 25 minutes of waiting we went to check on the line/list and the hostess told me it would be another 20/30 minutes - wha?? Yeah so we left and just headed upstairs to the food court. Made no difference to Ryan...he still got his grilled cheese :)

Such a sweetie!

Day 12: Playing with glow sticks in the bathtub! All fun and games until you chew a hole in one and get that glowing goo all over yourself (and in your mouth) and freakout. I also freaked out since it was all over his mouth but I was able to wipe most of it out. I then gave him a cup of water to swish and spit out...but he drank it. hmmmm. Luckily according to poison control you are suppose to get them to drink water...
Day 13: A bike ride to the park with our new RayBans (thanks Dr. Ashely!)

Day 14: Bathtime with dinosaurs!

Day 15: Everyone loves Mr. Potato head!

Day 16: Sweet boys watching a show after naps

All that Glitters isn't gOLD!

Happy birthday Lindsey!
It's a little weird when your "young" friends turn 30...I mean, how is it even possible when I am still 30? lol :)

Anyhow, Mrs. Lindsey Park turned the big 3-0 and we were there to celebrate with her! Her husband recruited myself and Lauren to help with the details - smart man! We decided on a glittery and gold theme which was (as Lauren would say) ohsomuchfun!

We started out at White Rock Skate Rink - which was awesome! Just walking in the door takes you back to your childhood. It reminded me of the Mason Road Skate Rink in Katy...and smelled like it too! Everyone had so much fun skating...and surprisingly there were no injuries.

We even played games - here is the guys race! The girls raced too....and maybe I won? I always loved skating...and racing!
Jessyca and Kevin taking a break
We all severely underestimated the "exercise" factor. We all got a little sweaty...so we had to take lots of breaks since this was only the beginning of the night

And the money machine! I think she won $20?

Then we headed to Matt's for some margaritas and food!

So many friends made it to dinner - this girl is loved

3-0
And it was quite a fire!

So much fun! After the party continued at One Nostalgia (a dive bar). Us old folk (kevin and myself) were tired and had to head home! lol

Ryan's first Stars Game

A few weeks ago Papa and Kevin took Ryan to his first Stars game! He was very excited to go with them and thrilled to put on his very own Stars jersey!

Overall he had a fun time - he did think the music was a little loud, that is why he is wearing Kevin's hat in the picture above.

Grubbing on a hot dog!

Go Stars!
