Thanksgiving Day

Another year to be thankful for!

We celebrated Thanksgiving over at the Hales house with the usual suspects. It's always such a great time getting together with friends and family - and it's so fun to see how much we have grown over the years!

The kids table!

And I was thankful that my mom was able to make it in town! Yay!

We had a delicious meal and lots of fun and games...then all the kiddos huddled over on one little chair and played on their phones/ipads/itouches. Oye.

"Tutu" cute Baby Shower

I am so excited that my best friend from high school is pregnant - and with a sweet little baby girl!!! While I was down in Houston we threw a baby shower for her and her little girl Kate! Can't wait to meet her!

These invitations were done by Everything Design! So adorable!

Since the shower was at 3pm we decided to do deserts only...yum! We had so many AND they were all delicious!
Mk made the diaper wreath and we added the door sign made by Cat at Everything Design.

Our sweet little momma-to-be!

I am kinda obsessed with the pom pom toothpick thingy's that Cat made (pictured above) - they were so adorable!

Adorable straws (Everything Design)

Mk made the diaper cake - so cute!

And in case the guests didn't get enough sweets we sent them home with some cookies!

All of the hostesses brought baby kate some cute clothes to hang on the clothesline - always adorable decor!
Jen requested the help of sweet little Caroline (Mk's daughter) to help open all the gifts! She was so cute - and helpful too!!

Jen and her sisters

Jen's high school friends (minus me :)) Jessica, Ashley & Stefanie

All the hostesses!
We had so much fun getting Jen ready for baby Kate - can't wait till she gets here in February!

Weekend Wrap Up - Houston!

This past weekend we headed down to Houston to visit with friends and throw a baby shower for Jennifer and baby Kate!  Kevin took Friday off so that we could head down early - after 3.5 hours in the car we were there! Seriously - it was kind of an amazing drive...we didn't even stop at all. Anyhow, we were ready to get out and PLAY! The boys were so excited!

Grayson and his buddy Brooks!
Don't mind Grayson's shirt...that's just some food & slobber from the trip up.

We hung out at the Aston's and all the kids played so well together. Ryan and Thompson are BFF now. It's really cute. And they love Caroline too! The three of them played so well together!

Pierson and Ashley came over for dinner and playtime too! I am bummed I didn't get a picture of Grayson, Pierson and Brooks - they were also pretty darn cute! After dinner we got the little kids down and then dealt with the older ones. They were excited to sport their Toy Story jammies & sleep in the SAME room!
Yes, Ryan is half woody and half buzz...oops! I couldn't (and still can't) find the top to Buzz and the bottoms to Woody! So weird! He didn't seem to mind...we called him Wuzz or Boody. whatevs.

On Saturday morning we were up nice and early. G bug got up at 6:30am and once he realized that mommy and daddy were sleeping in a bed right next to him he was just thrilled. There was no going back to sleep after that! Once all the kids were up we had breakfast and a morning filled with games and toys!

These two were so adorable together.

At 10:30 the kids were decked out in their superhero outfits for Gabriel's 1st birthday party!

It was so cute! I am thinking of planning a joint superhero party for the boys next year so it was so fun to see how adorable everything was!

Getting some grub! Hanging with Camille, Vivian and Jacquelyn!
Little man LOVES some cheetos!

I loved his outfit...his father was a tad skeptical of it, but he was darn cute!

I love this pic with my boys. And I also love that Brian was trying to get out of the picture. lol

The birthday boy and his cake!

We headed home and started working on Jen's shower! I'll do a separate post for her shower!
The dads watched the kiddos upstairs while we hosted Jen's shower downstairs. Around 5pm they headed out to catch the UT game and we let the boys join us downstairs.

Thompson and Ryan worked on their Hook'em Horns!

After Jen's shower we got the kiddos fed and settled then headed out for a girls night!

After dinner we headed to meet up with the boys! It was such a fun weekend!

Not much to report for Sunday. We woke up...played a bit then packed up and headed out. Although G only slept for about an hour on the way back it was another pleasant drive! yay! We were all exhausted when get got back to Dallas - the boys went down for naps while Kevin and I unpacked. Sarah invited us over for dinner which was amazing since it meant that I didn't have to go to the grocery store! Since we had been in the car a lot we walked down to their house and had some yummy lasagna!
We were ready for bed! Got to bed early and felt rested today!
