Kinder Round Up with GRAYSON

Tuesday night Grayson and I headed to Stonewall without big brother Ryan - this time it was all about him!

This event is so sweet and I love seeing all the new kinder cuties!

After we checked in we headed to the auditorium.

(loved the whimsical decor - this pic was from earlier in the day)

Our principal. Ms. Mans,  opened the program and welcomed everyone. Once all the business was taken care of we enjoyed a little fashion show! The adorable first graders strutted their stuff showcasing the school uniforms, garden shirts, & spirit shirts! So cute!

First graders lined up and ready to walk the "runway"

After the show our PTA president welcomed everyone and talked a little more about our wonderful school. She also introduced all of the Kinder teachers - we have TWO new ones for next year! They are adding another dual language class and another regular classroom! Looks like the kinder class next year is going to be pretty large!

So many awesome volunteers sprinkled around helping everyone find there way....and handing out goodies too! We headed to the kinder wing to meet all the teachers :)

Once Grayson had met them all, we headed to the cafeteria to learn about all the different clubs and specials that Mockingbird offers!

Some of the "upper class men" handed out cookies to the little incoming kinders! So Sweet!

Grayson thought that cookie was pretty great!

After round up we headed to Mi Cocina for a special dinner with some of his new kinder buddies.
Sweet little man ended up being the only BOY, but he was so hungry he didn't mind.  I caught him laughing at the girls every once in a while.  It was my first time to be out with more girls than boys! I would say it was completely different BUT these ladies all have older brothers (in Ryan's grade) so they weren't your typical girly girls! lol!

So excited for Grayson to start at Mockingbird Elementary next year!
