Happy Easter!

6:20am Easter morning!
We grabbed the kiddos out of bed and popped them in the car before they even knew what day it was. Well, Ryan did. He was excited and happy to get dressed.  We decided to go to the sunrise service to avoid the crazy crowds...plus it was outside and the kids can lay on blankets (wiggle as much as they want) without driving us crazy.

Such a handsome little man!

Donuts + breakfast tacos + blankets = pretty happy crew.
So Hayden was pretty set on wearing her hat. I am not even sure how she found it on the way out the door. No big deal - most kids were in PJs and some adults were too! lol.

When we got home they were so excited to see what the Easter bunny had left for them.
They spent an hour or so playing with everything in their baskets. It was nice to relax and not rush all the Easter surprises in order to get to church - I think we might make the sunrise service a part of our Easter tradition!

Around 9:30am these guys decided they were ready to hunt for eggs!

Ready. Set. Go!

Checking out all the goodies!
Happy kiddo!

At 11am we packed up and headed over to the Sun's house for Easter brunch.

My mom made some Greek Easter bread!

One all the food was set out and ready to go, Hayden hopped up on the bar stool and grabbed some chicken.  I guess she was hungry!

All these cuties!!!

After brunch the dads went out back to hide the confetti eggs.
 I caught these two peeping.

This one wasn't so sure about the whole confetti thing....

Love my pretty mama!

All the ladies...

And then we had desert...lots of April birthday's to celebrate! Everyone got their favorite desert :) These might be my top three! Society bakery, Suzie Cakes and JD Chippery! #bestofDallas

And this is what happened later...
Another wonderful holiday with friends and family!

Weekend FIVE 04.09.17

1. Friday Vibes

Celebrating Papu's birthday a little early. And with chocolate cake a la Society Bakery - yum!

2. Town Hearth
After we ate dinner and put the kids to bed, we snuck out to meet up with friends for dinner #2 at Town Hearth.
This place is awesome - from the decor to the food. The only area they struggled with was cocktails. Stick to beer and wine and you will be happy.

And more April birthdays...Bryan, Terra and Ali!

3. Kamado Joe
Earlier in the week Kevin had mentioned wanting to get a smoker. I guess I didn't realize how serious he was - lol! Since he had a rental truck (my car was getting work done) he figured it made sense to go ahead and get one. And thank goodness they had a truck - that thing is HUGE!
Anyhow, I really haven't seen him this excited about anything in a long time. We got a bunch of different meat and veggies and he went to town.
Being silly & taking a picture with the new grill.

4.  Dying Easter Eggs
The kids LOVE dying easter eggs. I remember loving it as a kid, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

We did end up with a few cracked eggs (thank you ms. hayden) but other than that is was a huge success.

Oh, and I also got to sneak out for a fun birthday lunch at HG Sply Co for my friend Mandy!

5. EASTER

Happy Easter

Of course the boys both slept in this morning! (Well, I knew Ryan wouldn't get up until after 8am but little G never sleeps late!) Anyhow, I got up a little early to get everything ready and then I waited...and waited. Since we were heading to church at 9am I decided to wake Grayson myself...after nursing him we woke Ryan too. Sometimes R is a little grumpy when we have to wake him but I reminded him that the Easter bunny had come and he was pretty excited to get downstairs!
Here they are with their baskets...still a little tired! And the flash on my camera was a tad too bright!
Goodies for the boys!

The Easter bunny hid some eggs outside for the boys!

Hunting those eggs before the rain started...
After quickly hunting for eggs we rushed to get dressed and headed to church with the family. After church we were invited over to the Suns to celebrate with brunch.

Ryan and sweet little Truman!

We decided to do the egg hunt first (in case is started to rain again!)
The kiddos love cracking the confetti eggs! So cute!

My handsome little man!

Trying to get a pic of all the kids (Grayson was napping) was difficult!

Happy boy after his morning nap!

Ryan loved wearing Truman's helmet and riding on his scooter!

Hanging with Henry!

Mommy and her sweet little baby!

We saved two eggs for Grayson...he immediately put it in his mouth (that's why it's red)

Such a wonderful day with family and friends! Happy Easter!
