Dr. Appointment

On Friday I had a doctor appointment as well as my 28-week sonogram (my weeks vary from where the dr. has me...but only a couple days). Anyhoo, I invited my mom to come with me because I knew she would be super excited to meet my doctor and to also see a sonogram first hand! My appointment with Dr. Hampton Richards went really well - no major news. My homework now is to start finding a pediatrician - so any recommendations are welcome! The sonogram went well - Ryan has everything is suppose to and is tracking along as scheduled. The tech that did the sonogram went really fast and my mom and I couldn't see everything that well - we have some pics but there is one we can't really tell what it is. Little Ryan did have his hands up by his face so that could be one of the reasons it was difficult to get a good look.

29 weeks

The bump is getting bigger! Ryan is the size of a butternut squash this week - 2.5 lbs. He has been super active and it's so fun to feel him kicking. Tomorrow we have a sonogram and I am so excited! My mom is coming up to Dallas to go with me - we will meet with Dr. Hampton at 11:30 then the sonogram is at 1:00. In other news - I signed Kevin and I up for the Basics of Baby Care & CPR class as well as a tour of the Labor & Delivery area at the hospital. I didn't sign us up for the Lamaze Preparation for Childbirth class but am now debating that. Dr. Hampton said we would be fine - that the nurses will tell me everything I need to know. However, as the delivery date gets closer...it might ease my nerves a little bit.

I am working on creating thank you cards for all of Ryan's baby shower gifts but I have a slight delay - I left my paper cutter in Houston! Oops! My mom is bringing it on Thursday so hopefully I can get them in the mail soon! I love making cards and invitations - and have lots to keep me busy this Summer! So excited!

Happy Anniversary!

Update: So my husband is amazing and so sweet. Yesterday we planned to celebrate our 2-year anniversary by having a nice dinner at Ocean Prime. I didn't really plan on anything else so I was really surprised when he had these beautiful flowers delivered! And then to top things off he had done his research and found out that the 2-year gift is cotton - so he went and bought Ryan and mommy some cute little cotton outfits - so sweet! I love his little outfit for Ryan! Kevin is also pretty darn good at picking out cards - they are usually pretty humorous but lately they have been really sincere. Plus I really love chihuahua so I thought the card he picked out was really great! What a great two years we have had! It really has gone by so fast but I have loved every minute of it!

 

Today is our two year anniversary! The past two years have gone by so fast and have been so amazing. So excited for our future together and to add little Ryan in August!

Houston Baby Shower

Mary Kathryn and Jennifer threw Ryan and I such a beautiful shower today!!! We had so much fun and loved spending time with everyone. The decorations were so cute and the food was amazing! Here are some pics from the fun shower.

28 weeks

7 months today! 3 more months until little Ryan arrives! This week start the beginning of my 3rd trimester - hopefully things will continue to go as smoothly as they have been. Today is Jennifer's 28th b-day - I am about to meet Jen, Ashely & MK at the spa to celebrate. We are all getting massages, eating lunch then lounging by the pool. Then later we are meeting up with some more friends and heading to the Astros Game! So fun!

Little hiccups

I am down in Houston this week relaxing with my parents and friends. Ryan has been very active down here and Yia Yia T loves feeling his kicks! Yesterday morning when I woke up Ryan had the hiccups! Sweet little hiccups - so cute!!
