Hayden 15 months

Let's do a little catching up...

Here she is
@ 13 months:

Beach vacation with the family!

Some highlights:
- At 13 months we got rid of her night bottle. hallelujah!
- Peek-a-boo cracks her up
- started walking
- top front two teeth came in

She loves:
- putting things in and pulling them out. repeat.
- pushing walker (or anything that can be pushed)
- riding in little red push car
- playing with her brothers
- reading. Its crazy how this seems to change overnight.  In general Hayden is a huge fan of the whole bedtime routine. I guess she didn't participate in it fully (with the boys) until she was maybe 10 months? Anyhow, she gets so excited and loves playing up in the boys rooms. When daddy pulls out the books and everyone starts to calm down she never really picked up on that cue and would still try and crawl on everyone and sit on the book. If she did sit then she was trying to rip the pages or giggle and get attention. It was adorable. Anyhow, she went from having no interest to becoming slightly obsessed. (I remember this happening with Grayson too). Anytime she finds a book she will bring it over to you and demand that you read it. Her favorite books are Counting Cockatoos, If I were a Fox, and Peek A Who?
- her shoes. She will bring them to you and then lift her foot so that you can put them on.
- pretend play? she has started to grab one of her purses and swing it over her shoulder before she starts walking one of her strollers
- her new anywhere chair

Other tidbits:
-Very demanding. When she wants something she will point at it and basically screams until you give it to her. Oh don't you love it when they can't talk? She is very aware of what her brothers have (especially food) and will scream until she gets it too. Frozen yogurt pops, suckers and cookies are some of her favorites.
- She is transitioning to one nap. It's so awesome that this coincides with Grayson giving up his nap. This can make for some very very emotional evenings.
- When she gets hurt or is really upset she blows raspberries. Non-stop. It's pretty cute. And sounds much better than full on screaming.

@ 14 months
- So I really don't have much but pictures for 14 months. Oh and she did get some teeth - her bottom side teeth and top left molar

First haircut!

She loves The Little Gym

AND @ 15 MONTHS

Ta Da!
Actually, she is answering my question "How big is Hayden?"
SO BIG!!!

Weight: 21.6lbs (26%)

Height: 31.5 inches (89%)
Head: 46cm (51%)

She wants to sit at the table with the rest of us. It works for about a minute but then she gets up in everyone business and the boys get a tad annoyed. Sometimes it helps make them eat a little faster...so we use her to our advantage.

She loves playing outside. Any push toy is her jam.

words
So before we went in for her 15 month checkup I was thinking about everything they were going to ask me...and I knew they would ask about talking. Shoot. She wasn't really saying that much. What words does she say:
mama
dada
yaya
baa

But it's not like she doesn't get her point across. She knows how to ask demand more. And tell us when she is done with something. Girl is a communicator. Just not so much words.

Love reading:
Current favorite book is From Head to Toe by Eric Carle

She claps, thumps her chest, arches her back and even wiggles her hips. It's so much fun to read this with her!

I love this age because you can actually see her learning. It's pretty amazing. Every day she is doing something new and I love watching it happen. She is really working on waving bye and it's adorable. Sometimes she doesn't get her arm lifted but she moves her little hand. It's precious.
She also is all about testing limits. When we watch the boys karate class she knows she isn't allowed to step on the mat...but by the end of the 30 minutes she is usually creeping over there and getting her toes on it. All while looking back at me with a big ol' grin on her face.  She listens when you say no, but then once she knows she isn't suppose to do it, it's a game. And she loves to play games.

She is a busy little girl. She's got things to do and places to go. And she doesn't need my help.
Love this little lady!

What's Up Wednesday

1. Sweet Ryan

The other day as we were driving around we passed a ginormous house - to which Ryan said "When I grow-up, I am going to live in a BIG house like that". We talked a little bit about it and then I asked if I could come stay with him. He thought about it for a second and then said "Mommy, when I grow-up and have a big house you can come over ANY time you want. You don't even need an invitation - just come WHENEVER you want."

Sweet boy.

Now that I have this conversation documented I am going to hold him to it :) Lol.

2. Playgroup

Last weekend we met up at a park for playgroup. They ran around and had a great time burning energy and they were excited about the snacks that Megan brought for them. I love that they all sat up here on the ledge to eat them - perfect picture opportunity! Hayden was so pleased with herself - she loves being part of the gang!

3. Diaper Rash & Flu Shots

Last Thursday I had to take Hayden into the pediatricians office because she had another crazy diaper rash. The pediatrician is always my last resort - I hate dragging them to the office and typically there is never anything they can do...it's always "just let it run it's course". Anyhow, I was desperate. Poor little girl gets them so bad and this one was bleeding. I was hoping they would have some magic cure all for me. Diaper changing is already such a challenge with her so it really doesn't help when I know she is in pain. Anyhow, this time they told me to try ilex along with diaper rash cream. Sadly we are almost a week later and she is still rocking a rash. Ugh. I typically let her run around the house without a diaper for a while, which is really like playing a game of Russian roulette. Sometimes I win and sometimes I don't. It makes it twice as bad if she steps in her accident and then slips.  Anyhow, I am now trying Triple Paste AF so we will see how that goes. I think I am going to switch back to Honest Company diapers as well. Poor girl.
Oh and since I had all three kids with me I figured it was a good time to knock out the whole flu vaccine thing. I asked for the mist but that was out of stock - so it was the shot. For all of us. Ryan was not thrilled about this turn of events. In fact, he started crying as soon as he learned he was getting a shot. Grayson, on the other hand, tends to just get really quiet when he is scared, which is nice since Ryan is screaming. And of course Hayden had no idea what was about to happen. I went first to show them how easy and painless it is. But Wowzers. It kinda hurt. Oops. The kids were next. After I was able to pull Ryan out from under the table, I pinned him down and she quickly got him. The good news for him was that it was over before he realized it had even happened. He really gets worked up. Imagine that. Grayson was next and then little H. None were pleased with me. Luckily I was able to calm them all down before we exited the room and the idea of picking out a sticker at the checkout was enough to cheer them up. Thanks goodness! #lifewiththree

4.  Peter Pan Threesixty

A few months ago I saw that Peter Pan was coming to town and I knew I wanted to take the boys. I had no idea that it would be preformed in this awesome state-of-the-art traveling theatre-tent! Heck, I didn't even really know what that meant but after doing a little research I can't wait- I might be more excited than the boys!

So this 360Tent is currently downtown Dallas and the show starts today!

In preparation for the play I ordered the Disney version off Amazon (I am not sure how it was available since I think it is back in the vault...but it was on One Day Prime so it must have escaped) Anyhow, looks like Saturday night might be a popcorn and movie night for us!

5.  Holiday Cards
I love holiday cards. I love that almost everyday starting in December (and sometimes even late November - those go-getters) I usually have a fun holiday greeting waiting for me in my mailbox! It's so much fun to open up all the cards and see everyone's beautiful families! We just got our family pictures back so I am just starting to sit down and check out all the designs that are out there this year. In the meantime, let's take a little stroll down memory lane...

DesignBox Delivered - Master Entry

Last week the final pieces of master entry decor arrived - wohoo! Kevin hung up the art yesterday and we are loving the new completed entry.

As I mentioned before, I reached out to Michelle Lynn Interiors Group for help with our master bedroom. I opted for the DesignBox service and LOVE how everything turned out. (If you check out the link you will actually see my DesignBox renderings! So if you are curious to know what my master bedroom is going to look like, click here.)

First of all I will start of by saying this little area is incredibly difficult to photograph. It's so small and the doorways get in they way so I wasn't sure on the best angle. So I took a few...

Isn't is beautiful? I love it! And here you get a little sneaky peaky into the bedroom.

The overall end result is rather simple - it's the perfect mix of modern and rustic and flows seamlessly into the master bedroom. I love the stripes because they add a little pizzaz which this room really needed.

The stripes were incredibly easy to do - much easier than messing with wallpaper! The darker stripe is actually the exact same paint color we already had (Behr Silver Setting + 25%) but in high gloss. I love the dimension it gives to this tiny little area. The multiple shades of blue and the mixing of different metals and wood finishes give our new space such a unique feel.

Before & After's:

I am so excited to have a 'completed' room. I love how everything came together and would recommend this service to anyone who is looking for some decorating help.

What's Up Wednesday

1. School Pictures

Once again, Suzi Neely did an amazing job with the boys school pictures! I am so bummed that I missed the sibling day opportunity...but at least I got these adorable shots!

Can't wait to order these!

2. Camo Belts

These two monkey's earned their camo belts last week and they were pretty proud! They have really been enjoying taking karate and it's awesome that they are in the same class. The only difficult part is trying to keep Hayden from trying to participate.

3. MJ Holiday Show

On Sunday I hosted a trunk show for the November Holiday release collection - and it was adorable! So much cute stuff and so fun shopping with friends. Our show was pretty successful so Hayden ended up getting quite a few new outfits herself! I think one of my friends is going to host a show for the December release...I'm already excited about that. Did I mention I might have a problem?!? Check out these two adorable outfits from the holiday line!

And some of my favorite items are the adorable leggings and tights!!!

4. No More Pull-ups. (well...kind of)

So Grayson is FULLY potty trained. Underwear all day. AND all night. Woot Woot! He has been for quite a while but Kevin and I put a pull-up on him at night just in case. However, night after night he woke up with a dry pull-up so the other night I just let him sleep in underwear. And that was that. Now if I could only get him to go back to sleeping through the night....oye!
Oh and the "well...kind of" comment is because Ryan is actually still in pull-ups at night. It's kinda crazy how easy it all was for Grayson. I feel bad because when Ryan learned that Grayson was sleeping in underwear at night he got so upset. He really wants to be able to but he just can't seem to figure out how to stay dry...so we are still working on that. I am sure it will click one day...hopefully sooner than later :)
