All that Glitters isn't gOLD!

Happy birthday Lindsey!
It's a little weird when your "young" friends turn 30...I mean, how is it even possible when I am still 30? lol :)

Anyhow, Mrs. Lindsey Park turned the big 3-0 and we were there to celebrate with her! Her husband recruited myself and Lauren to help with the details - smart man! We decided on a glittery and gold theme which was (as Lauren would say) ohsomuchfun!

We started out at White Rock Skate Rink - which was awesome! Just walking in the door takes you back to your childhood. It reminded me of the Mason Road Skate Rink in Katy...and smelled like it too! Everyone had so much fun skating...and surprisingly there were no injuries.

We even played games - here is the guys race! The girls raced too....and maybe I won? I always loved skating...and racing!
Jessyca and Kevin taking a break
We all severely underestimated the "exercise" factor. We all got a little sweaty...so we had to take lots of breaks since this was only the beginning of the night

And the money machine! I think she won $20?

Then we headed to Matt's for some margaritas and food!

So many friends made it to dinner - this girl is loved

And of course some photo props (some made by Everything Design and some made by me and my new silhouette!)

3-0
And it was quite a fire!

So much fun! After the party continued at One Nostalgia (a dive bar). Us old folk (kevin and myself) were tired and had to head home! lol

Ryan's first Stars Game

A few weeks ago Papa and Kevin took Ryan to his first Stars game! He was very excited to go with them and thrilled to put on his very own Stars jersey!

Overall he had a fun time - he did think the music was a little loud, that is why he is wearing Kevin's hat in the picture above.

#dailydimples2014 - Week 2

Day 5: This little guy was so happy eating his breakfast. I was kinda shocked that he went for the plain yogurt (we ran out of the honey vanilla which is Ah-mazing) He really didn't seem to notice!

Day 6: Packed up and ready for our drive to Houston! A little nervous to take these boys by myself but they did great!

Day 7: Making oatmeal cookies with Yiayia!

Day 8: Skyping with Papu and showing off their new horses that we found at Bucee's!

Day 9: Celebrating Caroline's birthday (a little late)! Ryan just loves to sign happy birthday!

Day 10: The big boys stayed home with a sitter while the little boys got to run errands with us!

Day 11: Wrestling with daddy! Everyone piled one!

Happy New Year!

Wowzers - it's already mid-January and I haven't done a single post. oopsies!
I guess I'll start with our NYE shin-dig.
About five or six years ago a large group of us went out for NYE...and that's when we decided we were over it! Over the whole big party, big price tag, big crowds...you know, the stuff you do when you are in your early 20s. So, ever since then we have totally embraced the house party... we have shared hosting duties with the Botterman's and always have a blast. THis year was our turn which worked out quite nicely since we were able to just put the kids asleep upstairs...and party on downstairs :)
I was also happy to host because I Kevin got me a silhouette machine for Christmas and I was excited to make some party decorations!

Ryan was very excited for the "party". He couldn't wait for everyone to arrive!

Cheers!
He was also very excited about "cake". Once he spotted the desert he hovered over it until he was allowed one.

And now for some party pics!

So I put Ryan down in our room (since we had friends staying in his) and he kept getting out of bed. surprise. Anyhow, Natalie tried to work her magic on him but he was relentless...Kevin went up and said ok I got him down. About 10 minutes later Mike opened the hall closet (thinking it was the garage - where the beer was) and he saw some little feet hiding under the coats. Oh Ryan. He snuck downstairs and we had no idea...he told Mike that he was playing Hide and Seek with ME! What a goof!

So we let him hang out for a little bit...then we were able to successfully get him down! He was exhausted!

Playing "Heads Up" - such a great app!

Getting crazy

And there was a lot of game playing.
I know. We are so crazy.
We had a blast though!
Welcome 2014!
