Babymoon & the Desert

We had a wonderful day yesterday - we got out and saw a little bit of Scottsdale and then enjoyed the rest of the afternoon here at the pool. The pics above are taken here at the hotel - it's really weird not to see any grass! Oh, and yes, that is a paradise bakery bag in my hand....I had to stop and get some chocolate chip cookies for myself while we were at the mall. We were pretty exhausted last night so we stayed in and just ordered pizza. This morning we hit the gym for a nice little workout and next stop is the pool. Kevin is going to head out to lunch with one of his buddies and I am going to head to the spa. Dinner tonight is a T. Cooks at the Royal Palms - we hear it's amazing, so we are looking forward to it!

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope all my favorite mommies had a wonderful mother's day yesterday! Here is a cute card that Kevin surprised me with yesterday...from little Ryan!

26 weeks

I figured it out! wohoo! So this was last Thursday - I am definitely showing now! Three and a half months left....I think I am going to be huge! haha

Babymoon in Scottsdale, AZ

Kevin and I made it to Arizona yesterday afternoon and arrived at the Sanctuary on Camelback mountain around 2:30.  We are really loving this resort - it's the perfect little last getaway before little Ryan arrives. The weather here is amazing - super hot during the day but cool in the mornings and evenings. Our rooms are really cool - a chic modern style and super spacious - they are all basically little mini suites. I will post pics at some point, but I am still having that connection issue. It's also very peaceful - we are sitting on our little porch/balcony right now (kevin is enjoying his coffee while reading the NYT and I have water and my computer) and all you can hear all the birds chirping around us.

Yesterday we ventured out to the pool for a little while and then had dinner at the restaurant here called Elements. We had a little time before dinner and went to the hotel bar Jade - which is just as swanky as it sounds. The drinks really looked amazing! Kind of wish I could have had one! Anyhoo, it's Sunday morning and Kevin and I just got back from the Sunrise Stretch class that they offer to guests. Evidently no one else was interested this morning so Kevin and I basically had a private session which was nice since the instructor altered the class to do only the things that I felt comfortable doing. There are a ton of other classes to participate in including all different types of yoga, pilates, water fitness, cycling, tennis and you can even do outdoor bike and climbing tours as well. Some are additional fees, but there is a lot that is free - so its pretty cool. Today we are going to venture out into Scottsdale and try a place called La Grande Orange Grocery that one of Kevin's friends recommended for lunch.  I think we will plan on hitting up the spa at some point (the mommy-to-be-massage has my name all over it!) and of course just continue to relax!

It's Thursday - where's my belly pic??

As most of you know tomorrow is my last day of work - its kinda crazy actually. I still can't believe that I won't be going to work every day or seeing all my work buddies - I am going to miss that! Anyhow, I had to buy a personal computer and I am now I am a Mac user- woot woot! So the point is that I am trying to download my belly pics for today and I can't seem to get them on my new computer - boo! My camera keeps turning off when its connected (and yes, its charged) - grr! Soooo...hopefully tomorrow I will have that pic up!

Dr. Appointment

So we went back to Dr. Richards today for our monthly check-up and everything is still going great! I am up another 5lbs - I really thought I had gained more so I was pleasantly surprised! Our next appointment is in three weeks and we get to do another sonogram too. He said I really didn't need a 28-week sonogram since I am measuring normally and haven't had any issues, but that if I wanted one I could do it. I also asked about the 3-D sonogram and he said he would sign the release so that we could do it, but that he doesn't think its necessary. Soooo I think we probably won't do it....it's not like we won't get to see little Ryan soon enough! Who knows, maybe I will change my mind. I am excited we get to go back in three weeks! Oh and I also have to do my glucose screening test then too! Oh yay!

Ryan's Nursery

Ryan is one lucky little baby! On Tuesday Kevin and I met Grandma and Grandpa at Buy Buy Baby because they wanted to buy Ryan's crib for him! What a lucky little man! We decided on the Hudson crib in white - pic below. I can't wait to put it all together with the bedding we picked out. Which was a surprise - my grandparents (from my mom's side) bought all of Ryan's bedding for him!! We are soooo excited to get this in - we love it and I just can't wait to see it! It's going to looks so good! yay!

And Yia Yia T and Grandpa J (my dad hasn't decided what he wants to be called yet) also made a purchase for little Ryan - they ordered his glider.  We ordered the Chateau Adult Glider from Posh Tots in Camelot Pear, which is light green - it will go perfect in Ryan's nursery!

The crib and te glider take about 6 - 8 weeks to come in, so hopefully the walls of the nursery walls will be ready by the time the crib and glider get in!
